Instructor Annie Croft will introduce you to watercolors “en plein air”. Drawing from your surroundings, you will be guided in watercolor painting on-site in Island Park. You will learn techniques that lend themselves well to painting scenery in the outdoors as well as guidance in selecting subjects and compositions. All painting supplies will be provided.

The workshop will be held from 11 am-2 pm, Wednesday, July 31 at the Vietnam Vet Memorial at Island Park, 331 N. Main St, in Mt. Pleasant, MI. In the event of inclement weather, the class will be rescheduled.

Participants should plan to bring the following: a camp chair with a cup holder or side table, lunch/snacks, water, & sunscreen. A camera or smartphone for taking pictures is helpful for composition or recreating the scene if you need to finish details afterward. Bathroom facilities and water are available at the park.

Recommended ages: All ages are welcome, however, children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
