Join instructor Tanya Ehrsam for a fun and creative workshop assembling a quilted tote bag. Both artistic and functional, you can play with colors, and patterns, and learn simple construction techniques to machine sew your tote bag together. This is a great way to use scraps and fat quarters of various fabrics. Whether you have some quilting experience or are a beginner, all can learn something new and hone your sewing skills. Students will be provided a supply and fabric cutting list. If you have a sewing machine, you are welcome to bring one. However, we will provide a few machines for students to share.
This workshop will be held from 10 am-1 pm on Saturday, February 22, in the Idonea Hersee Classroom at Art Reach, 111 E. Broadway St. in Mt. Pleasant.
Recommended age: 13 and up
