Artist and instructor Cheryl Meyer invites you to explore the beauty of the Chippewa River watershed while discovering the art of Plein Air watercolor painting. Each weekly session will rotate between a Chippewa Watershed Conservancy preserve with its own unique natural environment. Cheryl will guide you in best practices while instructing watercolor techniques that lend themselves well to plein air. Painting supplies will be provided and all experience levels are welcome.
Week 1: Audobon Woods
Week 2: Starks Preserve
Participants should bring a camp chair with a cup holder or side table, lunch/snacks, drinking water, sunblock, insect repellant, and comfortable hiking shoes. There are no restroom facilities at any of the preserves. Participants will meet at the applicable parking areas and hike in together.
