Join instructor Cheryl Meyer in this partnership between Art Reach and Mid Michigan College’s Lifelong Learning. This 6-week skill-building class covers watercolor basics such as painting paper and canvas, various brush strokes and techniques, watercolor pencils, color theory, and mixing colors. This class will also cover hard versus soft edges, wet on wet, dry on dry, pouring, glazing, spritzing, masking techniques, correcting mistakes, value sketches, and methods of putting the drawing on paper. Students will experiment with each technique and make a color chart of mixed colors.
The final project will be a take-home project using all the techniques presented.
The class will be held on Tuesdays from 6-8 pm on January 9-February 13 in the Idonea Hersee Classroom at Art Reach, 111 E. Broadway, Mt Pleasant, MI.
