Join instructor Tanya Ehrsam in this introductory sewing class for beginners. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the basics of sewing while creating your own cozy bowl holders—perfect for holding trinkets or keeping your hands safe from hot dishes and adding a personal touch to your kitchen.
Students of all ages will be guided step-by-step through selecting fabrics, understanding essential sewing techniques, and mastering the use of a sewing machine. No prior experience is necessary! By the end of the session, you’ll have completed your bowl cozy to take home and the confidence to tackle future sewing projects.
Note: If you have a sewing machine, you are welcome to bring it. Several sewing machines will be available for class use.
This class will be held from 6 to 8:30 pm on Monday, November 18, in the Idonea Hersee Classroom at Art Reach, 111 E. Broadway in Mount Pleasant.
